Circus!

My parents bought us tickets to go to the circus this weekend.  We took Ayla when she was a 2-years old and I was hugely pregnant with Aubree.  I'd have to say this time was much more enjoyable. :)  I had more fun watching Ayla's reactions to everything she saw than watching the actual acts.  She was floored.  It was so fun!  I think Aubree liked it as well...although, we had to skip her nap so we could tell she was super tired.  She was a good sport though.  She started to get a little antsy toward the end and asked to play on my phone but a couple minutes after that, a girl came out as Elsa, from the movie Frozen, and sang "Let it Go." This movie is all the rage right now in our house...and probably millions of others'.  I bought them the soundtrack a couple weeks ago and it's pretty much been playing on repeat.  So once Elsa started singing, she was mesmerized once more. :)
Right before the show started.

Basically right as it was starting, Aubree decided she needed to rest on Daddy's lap for just a minute.  Once the clapping started, she sat right back up and clapped along.

We made it through half the show before I caved and bought them each a light up toy.  It's all part of the experience, right? :)

I got Aubree a wand instead of a head band.
After the show ended, we went down to some of the other attractions.  It was total chaos.  Way too many people everywhere.  We ended up letting Ayla climb through a giant blow-up obstacle course type thing and then they rode these little animals, which was really fun for them.  Ayla was excited to drive one all by herself.

Creepy.  I don't see the "fun" in clowns. Yuck.
We had to really bundle up the girls.  It was about 2 degrees out.  Walking to and from our car was not fun at all.  We are all so ready for spring!

Aubree was asleep by the time we were out of the parking garage.

Even with her hat on, she continued to wear her butterfly headband. :)
It was a fun afternoon!  Thanks Mom and Dad for the tickets!!!! :)
