These monthly "birthdays" happen quicker and quicker! I took several pictures to go with this post but I'll have to wait until we get home to add them. We took pictures outside and she ended up with a handful of sap. Oops.
At 10 months, our little lady has become quite the drama queen. When she's happy, she's the happiest baby you'll ever meet, but boy, when she's upset, she let you know it. How do I get her to stop emitting this ear-piercing high-pitched scream?! Yikes. She even knows how to fake cry...pouty lip included. I think Dean and I are in trouble.
She's only been crawling for two or three weeks but it seems like she wants to go straight to walking. She pulls herself up on anything she can get a good grasp on and she LOVES to hang on to our fingers as she walks all over the place. Grandma bought her some super cute new shoes since we've been up here so she's been struttin' around in them the last couple of days. She's starting to eat just a LITTLE bit better but for the most part, mealtime remains a very frustrating time in our household. I'm floored when I see babies her age eat jars of baby food...I'm lucky if I can get her to eat half of one. Sigh.
She's added a few more "tricks" to her list...if you say "gimme five," she'll slap your hand half of the time. She has also learned the Chinese word for light ("din") and will look up and point at it when we say it. We think she might be trying to say "dog"...everytime she sees Kody or another dog, she says,"doh." :) When she hears music, she dances...she bops her head up and down and bounces her body up and down. We've been trying to show her how to blow a kiss but her version of it is to put her hand up to her mouth and lick it. :) She will also put both hands up, palms up as if to say "what happened?" She is LOUD and she talks...All. Day. Long.
She's definitely keeping us very busy now that she's on the move and getting into everything. It'll be fun to see what this next month brings.
