Hallmark shoot

Last month, Ayla and I were booked for a Hallmark shoot in Kansas City.  Dean took the day off to drive us there...it was on a Friday so we decided to stay the night and make it a quick mini-vacation for the three of us.  Miss Aubree stayed home this time.  After the shoot, we went to Lego Land for a couple of hours (pics to come) and then we met Dean's Aunt Kathy and Uncle Terry out for dinner.  The next morning, we had breakfast in the hotel and headed to The Plaza to do a little shopping.  Before heading home, we stopped to see Dean's cousin, Dana, at her new house.  Like I said, it was a super quick trip, but it was so fun!  It was nice to get away for just a day and it's always nice to be able to give all of our attention to one child.  I know Ayla loved it, too.  We need to do things like that more often with each of them.

The shoot was at a really cool house--big but charming at the same time.  They had some fun, colorful clothes for us to wear and Ayla was so delighted to have her hair and make-up done. :)  During the actual shoot, she didn't really want to listen.  It was a bit of a struggle, but I think they were able to get the shots they needed.

These are the cell phone pics that Dean randomly shot during the whole process:
