Turkey Week 2008 in Ohio

As I mentioned in a previous blog, we spent the week of Thanksgiving in Ohio. It was a great week spent with lots of family members whom we don't get to see often enough! The first day of driving was pretty brutal...it took us 11 hours to get to Indianapolis where Ayla's Great Uncle Dean and Great Aunt Shari live. It was a loooong day for all of us, but despite that, Ayla did beautifully!
Eating on the road!

The next morning, Dean and I rented a car and drove to Dayton, Ohio to meet our friends, Leah and Chris for lunch and a quick stroll through the mall. Leah is originally from Omaha and moved to Ohio a couple/few years ago (not sure exactly how long ago, but it sure seems like it's been a long time!) She tries to make it home as often as possible, but of course it's not often enough, so it was nice to be able to make it out HER way for once!
After we left Dayton, we caught up with the rest of the family in West Liberty, Ohio where we spent the entire week eating, drinking, and hanging out with family...what could be better? :)

You'd think we weren't from Nebraska with all the cow pictures that we took!

YAY!! We made the Peterson blog!!! :) You definitely took a better picture than the one I have! :) I'm so happy that we were able to see each other during your OH visit and to meet Ayla for the first time. She is so adorable! It was so fun to see you three all together as well! You both will make such good parents! The rest of your trip looked like fun too. I bet Dean's family was happy that everyone was there to celebrate Thanksgiving! I'm glad the trip went well! Thank you both so much for meeting us in Dayton! We had a lot of fun...and thanks for posting the picture. :) Can't wait to see you a few weeks!!
