Kenny Chesney & Zac Brown Band at Arrowhead Stadium

This past weekend, Dean and I went to Kansas City for the Kenny Chesney/Zac Brown Band concert at Arrowhead Stadium. A HUGE thank you to my parents for watching the girls all weekend so we could get away. We bought these tickets over six months ago...I didn't think this weekend would ever get here.

Dean and I went down to KC on Friday (less then 24 hours from when he and Ayla got home from the cabin). We shopped for a while in The Plaza and then went out for dinner and drinks in the Power and Light District. We went to a place called 801 Chophouse. Amazing. Delicious. You have to try it. I guess there is one in Omaha somewhere...we had no idea.

On Saturday, we were able to sleep in. It was so nice after a week of broken sleep with Aubree while Dean and Ayla were gone. We had breakfast and just relaxed in our hotel room until our friends, Dan and Molly arrived from Omaha and Jamie and Dustin from Des Moines.

We eventually made our way to the stadium a couple hours before the concert started for some tailgating with some other friends. It was ridiculously HOT. Add an asphalt parking lot and no shade and it was downright miserable. Once we were in the stadium, we were thankfully in a spot out of the sun.

Besides Kenny and Zac, Uncle Kracker and Billy Currington also performed. It was an amazing concert...worth every penny...especially at the end when Kenny and Zac performed together. I was so excited, I could have passed out.

Sunday morning, we went out to breakfast and shopped a little more. We also made a stop at Dean's uncle and aunt's house before finally heading home.

Good times. Great weekend. :)

We don't look as sweaty in black and white...
