Quick update

I just wanted to quickly update a couple of things:

1.  We finally closed on our house on October 11th.  Six days after our original closing date.  The new owner had to get all of her paperwork in order.  Kind of annoying because we could have been in our house for one more week.  Oh. Well.  It was really hard to walk out of that house for the last time.  I miss it.  A lot.  But it only means we're one step closer to being in our new house and I can't wait for that.

2.  Marla's house already feels like home. :)  She is so amazing to share her home with us.  We really have taken it over--two adults, two crazy little girls, and a big dog.  We're having fun so far but by the time our new house is done, and we move out, she may be ready for us to go! ;)

3.  Our new house is coming along nicely.  We had to pick paint colors for the outside of the house...not an easy decision at all.  I'm crossing my fingers that what we are going with will look good.  It's hard to pick a color for an entire house off of a tiny little swatch.  Tuesday, our audio system will begin to be installed.  After that, it's drywall and insulation.  We still have several things to pick out for the house that we probably need to do sooner than later--lighting, tile, carpet, indoor paint colors, doors.  It's fun to pick things and to visualize the house coming together, but it's difficult to find time to go to these places with our busy schedules.
