Dean and I went to Kansas City for my birthday weekend! He took Friday (my birthday) off and we drove over after we shipped the girls off to school and my parents' house. It was a chilly, rainy weekend, but it was so nice to get away for a couple days! We stayed at an awesome hotel near The Plaza. We went shopping for a bit Friday afternoon and then went to dinner at a super yummy restaurant. On Saturday, we slept in, had breakfast at the hotel, went out for some Bloody Mary's and met up with our friends to head over to Dean's cousin's place. From there, we went to a beer fest. Lots of yummy beer, but it got to be too cold and crowded so after a couple hours, we left and found a spot for dinner and then to a bar for a few drinks. Sunday morning, Dean and I went to breakfast in The Plaza, shopped just a little bit more and then met up with the rest of the family for lunch before heading back to Omaha. Great weekend!!
