Santa came!

Ayla could hardly wait for Christmas morning...I don't know if Aubree really understood what was going on at first. :)  We made the girls wait in our room until we were ready to head downstairs.

It was quite possibly the slowest trip down the stairs. Ever. Aubree was just casually sipping on her milk as she walked down.

Ayla testing out her new big girl bike!  It was funny because neither of the girls noticed their new bike and scooter until quite a while after they came downstairs.  They were so busy looking at the random little gifts in front that they didn't see their "big" gifts hiding in the back.  At one point, Aubree said, "HEY! A bike!" :)

Christmas Eve

We always have Christmas Eve dinner at Dean's parents' house...as always, it was DE-licious!  I look forward to it every year...it's so fun to kick off Christmas with everyone!  My parents even joined us! :)

Before heading to dinner, the girls picked out a few cookies to leave out for Santa.

Just for the record, these are not all from Dean and me.  We had Christmas morning at our house so everyone brought their presents over in advance. :)

Ayla's always up for taking a picture!

Aubree was not in the mood for pictures. :(

Hilarious.

We weren't quite ready to head home yet but it was bedtime for the girls so they put their pjs on and went to bed for little bit.  First, they left out some more cookies for Santa!

Cookies for Santa

The girls and I made gingerbread cookies to leave out for Santa on Christmas Eve.  They were so excited about it. :)  I think Aubree spent more time eating sprinkles than decorating her cookies but either way, it was a fun little project for both of them. :)  My friend Megan dropped by as we were getting ready to start so she helped us! :)
